This is what I wore last Saturday to watch the Cowboys game. The boys lost but I think I won that night because my outfit was a hit. We watched the game at a friend's house. The plans changed last minute but lucky for me this outfit was fine for either option. A casual cardigan on sale for $17. I'm wearing a size Medium, and the color is Pink. There's also a light pink version available as well.
This Abercrombie blouse is on sale for less than twenty dollars. What a deal! It’s easy to throw on when you need a just jeans kind of outfit. I'm wearing a size Medium. They have it available in a navy print and a hot pink option as well.
The lipstick I'm wearing in these photos is Bobbi Brown, the shade is called Babe.
Here are a few other options for blouses:
My black pants are still on sale as well. I’m wearing a size 6. I wear these pants at least once a week during the fall and winter.
I'm wearing a size Medium because the model on the website is listed as a Small. This shirt is on sale for forty something and it's incredibly soft. I was worried about it being too low cut, but what you can't tell from the website is that it's sewn together at the top, which keeps it in place. No need to wear a cami unless you just want to. I've been striking out with this color. Both a dress and a top last year looked much different in person and I ended up taking it back because the color did not look as pretty in person. This color (and the shirt) is a keeper.
This is the only shade of red I'll wear, Nars Heatwave.
I only wear one brand when it comes to glasses. I have to wear them every day to work, so they have to be the best. Once you see the name I think you'll agree.
There are several colors available, all are only thirty something dollars, but the color I have (shown in this picture) is called Tan.
I’m wearing a Medium. It's currently on sale for $70. Original price was $155. Club Monaco sweaters will last you several seasons. You get what you pay for. The sweater with a lighter color linked below is top ranked on the Anthropologie website. It too has an interesting neckline. They both are what I like to call perfect for dinner pieces, where your outfit only shows from the waist up.
My first pair of green pants were purchased in Houston, a pair of chinos from Anthropologie. I had gained a little bit of weight so my jeans and my dress slacks weren't comfortable anymore. I kept those green chinos for 4 years. Not bad. Heaven only knows how many times I wore them. They match with more outfits than you would think. You can wear them with white shoes, black shoes, tan. If you don't already own a pair of olive green pants, I would suggest adding at least one pair. The color can be worn year round and you'll get so much use out of them. The pair I have now were found here in Dallas, on the sale rack at Neiman Marcus. I plan on keeping them for a long time.
Most of my friends own either black or brown boots. Gray is always a great alternative.
The Pants (are 40% off right now, no code needed)
I wore this to work and then to a friend's house for dinner. This was the night of the Instant Pot extravaganza. Follow me on Instagram and watch my stories to see my attempts at cooking. They're comical. To let you in on a little secret...I brought my Instant Pot over to a friend's house (still wrapped in the box) so they could figure it out for me. I also wanted a home cooked meal and didn't want to take on the challenge alone. You do whatcha gotta do, ya feel me?
In the past, most of my blog posts included a new item of mine. I would take the new item and create an outfit incorporating pieces I already own. I’m still going to do that, but I’m also making an effort to share the outfits I come up with each morning. The outfits I wear all day long.
I know that all of you have a million things to do each day. A mile long to do list you have to conquer. Whether your list includes going to the office, running errands, or chasing your little ones around town I want you to be able to spend less time standing in your closet staring at your clothes wondering what to wear. In case you run out of ideas, or just want to see what I’m doing over here in Dallas, I’m going to share some of my every day outfits.
This is what I wore on Tuesday to my CPE class and then to dinner that night.
Originally $149, they’re on sale for $48.
Odds are, you’ll already have pieces similar to mine in that closet or yours. If not, and you like what you see, I will always include links to the exact items I’m wearing or similar pieces so you can recreate the look yourself.
These Tribe Kelley Cruze sweatpants are on sale for $49 (originally $100). Sizes ranges from XXS - XXL. The model on the Tribe Kelley website is wearing a size Small. I have them in a size Medium. I’m glad I got the Medium, the Small would have been a bit too tight. I have the white pair but they also have 4 other colors to pick from.
This is as sporty as I get. Sweatpants, a dry-fit top, and some sneakers.
My dry-fit top is on sale in several colors here . If you prefer a round neck instead of a v-neck, here’s one on sale. If you’re a size XS, they have a pink shirt on sale for $7 here.
My shoes were a Christmas present from Santa. They just sold out at Macy’s but I found them available here and here. Both are on sale in the $45-$50 range. If you’re looking for an even better deal (similar looking shoes for less) I would check out these. Cant beat 18 bucks.
The jacket is sold out so I'm not able to link it for you. Here are some similar options:
1, 2, and 3.
I had a meeting Monday morning so I couldn’t dress too “trendy.” Here’s What I put together:
These sweaters tend to run small. Be sure you size up 1 size. I’m wearing a size Medium. Originally $89, it’s on sale today for $29.
This is the dress that I wore to the holiday office party. It was dark by the time the party started so I couldn’t take a picture that night. I got so many compliments on my dress that night. This is the only sweater dress that I own. Sweater dresses usually do not do me any favors. Because of that I usually avoid them. The print on this dress caught my eye and I thought that maybe, just maybe, the fit and flare cut of the dress might make it figure flattering. I was right. Tons of other ladies online have said the same thing about this dress. They too were skeptical because it’s a sweater dress, but they love it. I’m wearing a Medium. I’ve worn it twice now, both times with these tights and this reversible coat. Once to the holiday party and once to church. I haven’t had a giveaway lately so I think it’s time. There’s no need for me to keep this dress, I have plenty. This top rated dress is still available at Anthropologie for $178. If you want, you could place an order online orrrr you could reach out and ask for mine. The first person to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) their address will get the dress (that was just dry cleaned). It’s that simple. Giveaway is only for those in the US. Good luck and thank you for visiting this little website of mine.
