My mind is on winter. Coats, boots, booties. That's probably because I like to plan. That or I'm always worried when winter comes because the cold weather section of my closet is almost nonexistent. It's Texas y'all. Who needs sweaters? And who the heck can look thin in a thick old sweater? Please tell me because it seems no matter what I weigh, I look so bad in pics when I'm wearing a sweater. Sorry I got off topic. This week's What I Want Wednesday post is all about white booties. I first spotted a pair at Zara, tall block heel, with a black stripe down the middle. They looked a little rebellious for me, but they were so so cool! That got me thinking, why have I never owned a pair of white boots/booties? I will only buy white tennis shoes so why have I never carried that mindset of everything else sucks over to boots? I don't know, but I do know that this year I will buy a pair of white booties. Some of my favorite are listed below.
Earlier this week I announced that one of my favorite companies was having a warehouse sale online. Janessa Leone has some of the best hats. I only own two, but wish I had a few more. They're a little on the pricey side, so it's best to buy a neutral color in a shape that won't go out of style. I have a black straw hat for summer with a wide brim (it's a bit dramatic but who cares), and I just added a winter hat from the warehouse sale to my collection. I'll post photos of the new one as soon as I can. Shop some of my favorite Janessa Leone pieces by clicking on the pictures below:
I used Armani Luminous Silk foundation for five years and still think that it's one of the best foundations on the market. You can go to any beauty counter and they'll be happy to let you try it. They'll help you find your shade and you'll realize how great it is.
The reason I decided to start using Estee Lauder has to do with time. I wake up very early 6 days a week and need my makeup to still look great by the time evening rolls around. Even with the Armani primer, I felt like the Armani foundation did not look the same as the day went on. I would apply Armani powder at lunch to freshen up, but by dinner I needed more. I researched some of the most talked about liquid foundations and found that Estee Lauder double wear has quite the following. Everyone said the same thing, it lasts. Because of its reputation, I decided to give it a try.
It lasts. Let me tell ya! I still have Armani primer left and don't want it to go to waste so I've been using that with the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. Here are my steps: First I apply Estee Lauder day wear moisturizer. Second I apply my Armani primer. Third, I use my Sigma Beauty F80 flat brush to apply my double wear liquid foundation. Fourth, I apply a little bit of Estee Lauder double wear powder to create more of a matte look.
I still get just as many compliments, if not more now that I'm using the double wear foundation. It feels good, it looks good, and it's less expensive than the Armani luminous silk that I was using. I even got my Mom to try it, and she loves it too! She's gorgeous and would look good regardless but she looks so so pretty with her new makeup! I love sharing new products with the ones I care about (like my Mom), so I thought I would share Estee Lauder double wear with all of you. I hope you like it. It's worth trying. Happy Friday!
I refuse to try on swimsuits in store so I ordered this one online and hoped for the best. I love the red bows and the cut is great. The material isn't too thin so you don't have to starve yourself for a week just to wear the darn thing. It's very flattering and has great quality. They have a few other options/similar styles still available and all are on sale since summer is coming to an end. Click on any of the links listed below to shop my style : )
