A few pieces from the Rachel Parcell collection were recently marked down. Today I’m sharing my top two favorites that can be carried into fall. I’ve linked both below, one with short sleeves and one that has long sleeves. The only trouble is deciding which color to get. Each item is available in at least 3 colors. Let me know which color you like!
For the last 6 years I’ve been participating in something that’s so bad: buying coffee on the way to work every single morning. I remember when I worked in Houston I could get a small white mocha with nonfat milk (add whip cream) for $3.84. Lately my order includes a large chai latte, hot with oat milk for 6 something. It’s insane I know. Which is why I’m trying to learn to love coffee I can make at home and all the perks that come along with it.
I’ve tried to break my bad habit before but failed. I’m weird about breakfast and usually don’t eat anything until lunch. You could safely say my morning routine is terrible for me. For my health and bank account. I know I can do better so that’s what I’m trying to do.
I found this coffee maker for less than $20 at Target. It’s not fancy but I’m fine with that. I don’t need fancy, I just need it to taste right.
After I picked up the coffee maker I headed to the grocery store only to stand and stare aimlessly at all the options on the coffee aisle for a good five minutes. Which filters am I supposed to buy? Are these the right size? What if they don’t fit? Oh well, I’ll make it work. Then I had to decide which coffee to get. I went with a classic. Folgers. Regular blend or whatever it’s called. I add a ton of milk and a tiny bit of sugar so the taste of the actually coffee gets lost.
On Friday morning I made coffee for the first time at home. I also made a breakfast tacos with wheat tortillas from Central Market. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole meal and plan on doing my best to keep it up.
If you have some sort of flavored creamer or if there’s a brand of coffee you love please let me know! I need suggestions and you always point me in the right direction.
It’s amazing what a nice dress can do (and a good pair of Spanx). I wore this dress for the first time on a date a few weeks ago and can’t wait to wear it again. I also found it in pink and yellow.
If you’re between sizes be sure to size up. I’m wearing a size 6. Because it’s one of those dresses that shows off your curves, I recommend wearing Spanx underneath. I recently went to NorthPark just to go to the Spanx store to tell them what I need. The sales associate handed me these shorts and that was that. Problem solved. No panty line, no need to suck it in.
I’m not able to link the black dress like the others, but I did find it on sale here in case that’s the color you want.
We’re starting to see stores mark down a few of their fall items. This retailer is offering an extra 20% off the sale price listed. All items are top rated and are sorted by price (lowest to highest).
It’s still hot as heck here in Dallas and although I want to dress for fall, I can’t pull the trigger just yet. Until it cools down a bit I’ll be wearing dresses like this one. I found this dress on sale at Nordstrom when I was looking for dresses to wear to church. It runs true to size and is 40% off with free shipping. I‘m wearing a size Small. This is my 3rd dress from this designer and I know it won’t be the last.
I’m back in the swing of things and have photo shoots scheduled for the foreseeable future. Each item that I buy will continue to go straight to The Insider’s Guide (day of), but there will always be items and outfits that deserve a bit of the spotlight. This blouse is one of them.
I bought it on sale from Anthropologie. I got it for 40% off the sale price and you can too. No code needed. It does run slightly large. I’m wearing a size 4 and have plenty of room. I’m usually between a size Small or Medium in tops for reference.
I paired the peasant blouse with white denim and black sneakers. You could pair it with black pants to make the look dressier for work.
If you’re like me, you like options...so I linked a few other similar tops. Most are more fitted than the one you see in the pictures. I don’t own too many flowy tops, but I must admit that it’s nice to have something to reach for on a day when you need to wear clothes that are more forgiving.

I had to stop by Ulta on Sunday to pick up dry shampoo and you know how it is in that store. You go in for one thing but it’s easy to get sidetracked. I decided to look for a nude lipstick of some sort. Long story short, I didn’t find the shade I was looking for. Each color was either a little too pink, too sheer, or too brown.
On Monday I came across this nude lipstick set online at Nordstrom. Answered prayer? Perhaps. This set includes 5 different shades and is about the same price as 2 MAC lipsticks or 1 shade of YSL lipstick.
This lipstick set includes a free gift with purchase. Use code LIFT or REPAIR when you checkout online to be sure the gift is included. (Yay for free stuff!) When you get to the payment screen you’ll enter either code under “Promotions.” You’ll also be able to add 3 free samples of your choice.
See details below for what’s included in each gift:
A few of the Estée Lauder products that I use on a daily basis are on sale, no code needed. If you’re close to running out or if you’ve never tried these products, it’s the perfect time to place an order. Why pay full price when you can avoid it!?
Anthropologie is offering an extra 40% off all sale prices, no code needed. Some of the items linked below are pieces I already have, and some are items I just ordered.
