This is the dress I was planning to wear on my birthday. We had reservations at a new spot in town called Drake's. Apparently it's supposed to be amazing and I was really looking forward to a steak and some mashed potatoes and a big slice of cake with a candle on top! Unfortunately we had to cancel that reservation and my boyfriend is now brining home dinner from one of my favorite restaurants here in Dallas.
I didn't think I would mind having to stay at home for my birthday but when I woke up I did feel a little sad. I was sad because we were supposed to spend the weekend in Pflugerville with my Mom and Dad. I was supposed to have the day off work and had appointments at both the spa and the hair salon. All of those things are on hold at the moment. I know it's not the end of the world and others are having a much tougher time than me right now. Just want to be honest in how I'm feeling.
I hope you're doing ok and you're handling the new normal as best you can. Please always remember that you're stronger than you think and when you feel like you have no control remember that God (the maker of heaven and earth) is in control. Know that he loves you and that it's gonna be alright. May God bless your day, your week, and your year.
As always, thank you for supporting Sometime Saturday. Thank you for following along. Thank you for using my links to make purchases when you place orders online. The 1 thing I wanted for my bday this year is to grow this business and I can't do it alone.
