Texas A&M is playing Arkansas this weekend in Dallas. My Mom is going to the game with me and I'm so excited to see her! I've been planning my gameday outfit for months. I'm not going to share what I'm wearing to the game just yet, but I will share my favorite gameday looks that almost made the cut for this week's game. Maroon is so hard to find sometimes, so I hope this helps all my fellow gorgeous Aggie girls!
When I was in high school there was a straightener that the cool girls had. I must have gotten mine for Christmas or a birthday. I've been using that same brand since then. I have never purchased, or used, a straightener from another line. I'm sure that there are other great brands out there, but why look around just for the fun of it? Their products last at least three years. I try to replace mine every 3 -4 years because I use it so often. I've never been able to blow dry my hair and style it with one of those round brushes like they do at the salon, so I've had to rely on my CHI for a long long time. The one linked below is the exact straightener that I currently own and use most days. This is the first one that I've had that allows you to set the temperature based on your hair type. It heats up quickly and does the job. In high school one of my friends told me that using a straightener will ruin your hair. I had this fear for the longest time that I was going to wake up one day and my hair was going to be terribly damaged. Such a silly fear, I know, but I've found that if you use good products on your hair (shampoo, conditioner, heat guard) it makes a big difference. If you're looking for a new straightener and you're not sure which one to get, try the one linked below. I hope you like it as much as me : )
I have this trick if I'm not sure what to wear. Wear one color and one color only. White shirt, white pants, white shoes. Done, and out the door. Some of my favorite outfits aren't overly thought out. All white felt right that day. Next look that I'm planning is all pink. Stay tuned.

I'm having one of those moments where I wish I wasn't a size 7 in shoes. 7s always seem to be the first to go. These Stuart Weitzman sandals are on major sale and as long as you're not a size 7, these babies can be yours. I've been watching them online for weeks hoping that they'll restock my size. I can't get them, so would someone else please go ahead and I'll just live my Cinderella shoe dream through you. They're called the SimpleMid on the Stuart Weitzman website linked below:
When slip dresses first started to show up in store I wasn't on board. The silk material is soft but it shows everything. Lines, imperfections, nothing great. I was reminded of jersey dresses that seem to cling to all the wrong places. Because of that, I stayed away from them for a couple of years. One weekend I was picking up something at Neiman Marcus and saw this black and white slip dress on the sale rack. It was marked down to maybe $30 so I thought I should at least give it a try. I wore it that same weekend with my keds and a small cross body purse to keep it casual (I wanted to offset the lace/silk/nightgown look as much as I could). I'm hoping to find a maroon silk cami to wear over the white tee for fall. Let me know if you see one anywhere! Shop some of my favorite slip dresses using the links below.
I got this mint green top shopping in Houston with a new friend of mine. What better way to get to know someone than shopping with them? Ann Taylor was having a great deal on sale items. Extra 40% off the sale price! Last time I looked, this shirt was even more on sale than when I got it! Bad news for me (whomp whomp) but great news for you. I paired it with jeans and silver slides to go visit my grandma the other weekend. She recently moved from her house to the nursing home. She's my best friend. I wish she could come live with me. She always laughs at my stories. She liked my outfit. If it got the stamp of approval from her, you know it's a good one.

Gray Malin's work is wonderful. I am not very interested in home
decor or art or photography but I am interested in every single Gray Malin piece. I think that if you're going to hang something in your home, it better be beautiful. It better mean something to you, and it better be worth the price tag. So many of the less expensive pieces of wall decor just don't look that great. You can tell they're cheap. I would rather save up for a piece that I really like than settling for something that isn't that pretty to begin with. Right now he's offering free shipping AND free framing on all prints. That's half off many of the smaller sized prints!! Check out their Insta page:

One of my friends in Dallas has her own Etsy shop, Sprinkled With Pink. I ordered this monogrammed sun hat from her shop and isn't it adorable!? It's perfect for a day at the pool or beach. Her etsy shop has totes, glasses, hats, balloons, and so much more. I basically want one of everything. Definitely check it out next time you're planning a party or just want to get something cute for yourself (like I did).

What do you wear when you need to make a great first impression but don't want to look like you're trying too hard? Oh and did I mention that's it's over one hundred degrees annnd you'll be in the car most of the day? So can't show sweat anddd wrinkles won't win requirements. This orange dress is light enough that you won't be burning up, and has a few fun unexpected details throughout. I was a little worried about the v neckline but it turned out to be alright. Oh and I hate that I'm mentioning this but this dress would be so cute for football season (I'm lookin at you Austin). Pair it with another bright color like pink and you're ready to win over a few hearts.
My mind is on winter. Coats, boots, booties. That's probably because I like to plan. That or I'm always worried when winter comes because the cold weather section of my closet is almost nonexistent. It's Texas y'all. Who needs sweaters? And who the heck can look thin in a thick old sweater? Please tell me because it seems no matter what I weigh, I look so bad in pics when I'm wearing a sweater. Sorry I got off topic. This week's What I Want Wednesday post is all about white booties. I first spotted a pair at Zara, tall block heel, with a black stripe down the middle. They looked a little rebellious for me, but they were so so cool! That got me thinking, why have I never owned a pair of white boots/booties? I will only buy white tennis shoes so why have I never carried that mindset of everything else sucks over to boots? I don't know, but I do know that this year I will buy a pair of white booties. Some of my favorite are listed below.
