Hey ya'll! I wanted to share all the details from my trip to Nashville in case you're planning on going, or if you've been on the fence about whether or not it's worth seeing. I'll be sharing where I stayed, what restaurants I picked, where to listen to live music, and where to shop.
Where I stayed: Guest Suite
This was my first time staying in an AirBnB. I held off for so long because I'm a skeptic. I just wasn't so sure about staying in someone else's home. A stranger's house. Somehow that just doesn't seem like a normal thing to do. The AirBnB I picked is a Guest Suite, which means it's a completely different house than the main house on the property. A guest house. You have it all to yourself. The location was perfect! I wanted to be no more than 10 minutes away from all of the cool spots in town. This place is much bigger than a hotel room. Heck, this place makes my apartment look like a shoebox. I couldn't get over how much room there was! Every little thing was taken care of, and thought out. Anything I could possibly need during my stay was available without me even having to ask. There's no doubt in my mind that I will stay here again next time I visit Nashville. It was affordable and exceeded my expectations.
Where I ate: Pharmacy , Martin's , Biscuit Love , Five Points Pizza
With so many restaurants to choose from it was hard to narrow down our list. I started the list by looking online at reviews and seeing which places are most popular/well known. According to visitors like myself as well as the folks that live there full time. Each place was oh so yummy! I ate way more than normal, but when in Rome ya know? None of these places accept reservations, but for Pharmacy there's an app called NoWait that you can download. After you download the app you can get on the waiting list for a table (we did this when we were driving to the restaurant). Once we got there it was only a two minute wait to be seated.
Live Music: Tin Roof
We went to several places to listen to live music. That's what we spent most of our time doing. That's why you move to Nashville right? For the music. This place was clean, it wasn't cramped, and the singers were all so good. Drinks were reasonably priced, chairs were comfortable (and there were plenty of them). It didn't smell like smoke. It wasn't freezing inside or uncomfortably warm. I was very impressed.
Shopping: Tribe Kelley
If you follow this blog and are up to date on all of my posts, you already know that there was only one store in all of Nashville that I wanted to see, Tribe Kelley. If you're ever in Nashville take the time to stop by. It's such a cool spot.
Have you been to Nashville? Do you live there, or have family in Nashville? I would love to know! Message me on Instagram or email me any time! I love getting to know all of you and catching up with those that aren't here in Dallas.
