On Easter Sunday my church passed out pieces of paper and asked everyone to write down their response to the following question: "If you could ask God anything, what would it be?" This Sunday they shared the takeaway from the thousands of responses they received.
1. Participation was much higher than they expected.
2. Most of the people wanted to know "when?"
When will we finally be able to have a baby of our own? When will I find a wife? When will I receive that promotion? When will I find success? When will that person forgive me?
We HATE to wait. Our society can't seem to wait on even on the little things. We hate lines, we hate customer service reps who place us on hold. When you're in a season of waiting, the control is out of your hands. It's up to someone else. It's up to God. While you're waiting, God is working. Always. It's hard to be patient but that's part of living a life full of faith. You must have faith in His plan. The great things he has in store for you are always much better than that silly plan of your own. Have faith while you wait.
