I have to admit, I'm one of those girls that likes Valentine's Day. I always smile when I get a Valentine's Day card in the mail from my Mom or Grandma. Last year I got the most adorable cards from some cute little family friends of mine. And old school pencils...the key to any CPA's heart. The guys this year will have to really step up their game to top puppies and pencils.
Alright, let's talk clothes. When planning an outfit for Valentine's Day it's easy to reach for something red or pink. Which is fine. Who doesn't like a good theme? Red and pink are two of my favorite colors. Put them together and I'm an even bigger fan. The thing I'm not a fan of is blending in. Who wants to go on a date on Valentine's Day and look like every other girl at the restaurant/bar? (think back to the first episode of this season's The Bachelor where almost every girl chose to wear a red dress on night one. so awkward.) I will wear this outfit to work and church in February, but I most certainly will not wear red or pink on the 14th. What will I wear? Stay tuned : )
I hope whatever you do that day, wherever you go, whoever you spend the evening with will be what you hoped for. Wear something you feel confident in. You should leave the house the morning of the 14th thinking you are God's gift to mankind. Listen to Cool Girl by Tove Lo on the way to work, and you'll be ready to rock Valentine's 2017.
