Does this happen to you? You're shopping online, or at the store, and you're looking for a dress that isn't white. So of course every single dress you see is white. It's so annoying! Especially in the summer. White dresses are everywhere.
It's easy to become frustrated when you're trying to find an outfit for a wedding. There's a lot of pressure because you want to look good. People who you haven't seen in years will be there. You can't be too casual and you don't want to be overdressed. Oh and heaven forbid you break a rule! Any woman in the South knows this: no black, no white. That one little rule eliminates 80% of all dresses.
I want to share some ideas with you, for your next summer wedding. So you won't have to stress toooooo much I've done the work for you. So you can recreate my look.
There are people who don't want to go to the trouble of purchasing a new dress for a specific event. Especially if it's a dress that you won't be able to wear very often. If you can't (or don't want to) spend the money on an outfit specific for one event and one event only, you can recreate this look with separates. A skirt and a top that can both be worn multiple ways, throughout the year, and with other pieces.
You could pair any of these pink skirts with any of the red tops linked below:
I found a pretty sky blue top to pair with this skirt. Or you could wear this red skirt with this top. There's only one size left in this skirt, but the color is gorgeous! This hot pink maxi skirt is on sale for $30. Pair it with some fun shoes and a navy top. And last but not least, this Temperley London piece. One day I will own some Temperley London. Their clothes are amazing!
Hope you have a fun weekend, and I hope that you have a great time at the next wedding you attend. Be sure to dance to every song. It’s good exercise and I think it’s good for the soul to break it down on the dance floor from time to time. Talk to ya soon!!
